"Come and experience nature though my eyes." Award-winning artist Patricia Thompson expresses herself through unique paintings, which feature interplays of luminous color, organic shapes, and dynamic composition.
Patricia Thompson lives in Birmingham, Alabama. Her natural talent has been enhanced through formal training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, as well as in workshops with many nationally-known artists.
She is a Signature member of the Watercolor Society of Alabama and Experimental Artists of Alabama. Patricia is a member of local as well as national art associations. She is an award-winning artist who has participated in numerous art shows. She has been the featured artist at several galleries.
Many of Patricia’s fish and animal designs can be seen in aquariums and zoos throughout the U.S., as well as in Bermuda, British Columbia, the Cayman Islands; and The Scientific Center of Kuwait.
• Patricia has taught watercolor classes in the Birmingham area for a number of years and teaches children’s classes at the Birmingham Museum of Art.
• For many years she participated in the Alabama State Council on the Arts Artist-in-Residence program, providing art instruction and encouragement to young students around the state.
• Patricia’s drawings and watercolor paintings are included in the permanent collections of the National Aquarium in Baltimore; Charles Products, Rockville, Maryland; The University of Alabama in Birmingham Sterne Library; and numerous private collections throughout the country.
